On Saturday, April 16th the IMBA Trail Care Crew will be in town to talk trails, teach proper trail building techniques, and spend quality time digging in the dirt. Everyone is invited to attend this session, however space is limited.

The Trail Care Crew teaches “sustainable” trail building, which means building natural surface trails that last a long time and require minimal maintenance. This helps reduce trail damage, protects the environment, and enhances visitor enjoyment.

The school involves three hours in the classroom followed by about four hours in the field doing hands-on trail work and field instruction.

Schedule:

9:00 AM – School starts – At Port Moody Rec Centre Multipurpose Room 3
12:00 PM – Lunch
About 12:30 PM – Field session

Participants are expected to attend both sessions. If you can make only one, please come to the classroom session. This is a free event for TORCA members. Membership available here. We are still working out some of the details but will provide more updates soon.
